Founded in 2002, RADIANT is a bio company in the field of cosmetics raw material manufacturing, possessing a database of over 10,000 natural substances. With 20 years of expertise in cell biology, biochemistry, and skin physiology research, RADIANT supplies functional materials to various pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and household products globally. Leveraging RADIANT's skin-related research findings, MEDIPEAU was established to develop topical medical devices.

Expanding Product Range to Oral Cavity and Scalp

When mentioning 'medical devices,' people often think of physical devices like massagers or infrared therapy machines. However, medical devices encompass a wide range of instruments, machinery, devices, materials, etc., used alone or in combination for humans or animals. MEDIPEAU's products fall into the category of Class 2 medical devices, which are used for wound dressings on areas with damaged skin barriers due to burns or dryness. Currently, the 'BARRICURE MD' series cream is available on the market. The completed lotion and collagen spray types are awaiting approval from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS), with plans for release by July at the latest.

MEDIPEAU currently focuses on developing medical devices related to skin, but it plans to diversify its product range to include nasal cavity, oral cavity, and scalp products. Additionally, after obtaining certifications from the U.S. FDA and CE marking in Europe, the company plans to expand its exports.

Proven Effectiveness of Key Ingredient 'DERMA-CLERA'

Located in the heart of Geodudanji-Industrial Complex, MEDIPEAU's white building stands out with the company logo. The building, which spans two floors, houses production facilities on the first floor. The company is in the process of preparing for 'Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)' certification for medical device suitability, aiming to obtain certification by May. The second floor accommodates offices and a research laboratory for raw materials and technology development.

The key ingredient in MEDIPEAU's products, 'DERMA-CLERA,' is a natural material-based therapeutic substance utilizing 2,000-3,000 types of herbal extracts. DERMA-CLERA is known for reducing the expression of various inflammatory factors seen in skin conditions. Specializing in acute and chronic inflammatory conditions, DERMA-CLERA has proven effective in reducing inflammatory responses associated with chronic conditions like atopic dermatitis and acute wound healing.

Collaboration with Domestic and International Researchers, Planning to Increase Export to 80%

In addition to in-house research and development, MEDIPEAU collaborates with various medical professionals and institutions, including Kangwon National University Hospital, Seoul Asan Hospital, Kangdong Kyung Hee University Hospital, and Soonchunhyang University Hospital, to continuously develop products tailored to skin conditions. In particular, the company has signed a business agreement with Kangwon National University Hospital for joint research and development of atopic dermatitis-related products.

CEO Kim Nam-kyoung stated, "Interest in topical medical devices has been increasing recently. There are cases where large domestic cosmetics companies launch medical devices." She added, "We are currently conducting clinical trials at various university hospitals. It is a time-consuming and costly process, but it is essential to ensure the reliability of our products.
