BARRICURE Launches ‘Wrapping Solution MD’ for Acne-Prone and Seborrheic Dermatitis–Affected Skin in January 2026

Medical skincare brand BARRICURE has announced the launch of its new medical device, BARRICURE Wrapping Solution MD, in January 2026. The product has been developed to address not only acne-prone skin but also skin conditions associated with seborrheic dermatitis, where sebum imbalance and skin irritation commonly coexist.

BARRICURE Wrapping Solution MD is a gel-type medical device designed for use on skin following acne extraction, sebum-rich seborrheic skin, and skin that has become sensitive due to repeated irritation. The product forms a thin, transparent protective layer on the skin surface, helping to shield it from external irritants while maintaining a stable skin environment.

Seborrheic dermatitis is a chronic skin condition characterized by increased sebum production accompanied by recurring symptoms such as scaling, redness, and itching. It commonly affects areas with a high density of sebaceous glands, including the face, scalp, eyebrows, and areas around the nose. In such cases, frequent cleansing or harsh skin management may worsen symptoms, making a protection-focused and low-irritation approach particularly important.

Reflecting these characteristics, BARRICURE Wrapping Solution MD was designed to serve as a protective option for skin conditions where excessive sebum production and irritation occur simultaneously. Rather than focusing on cleansing or temporary soothing, the product emphasizes forming a protective layer that helps maintain skin stability.

BARRICURE Wrapping Solution MD contains PUREREX-AC, a patented ingredient reported to have properties related to sebum regulation and normalization of keratinocyte activity. This ingredient was selected with consideration for skin environments that are sensitive due to sebum imbalance, and it has been incorporated to support management-oriented skin care settings.

In addition, the formulation was designed with consideration for irritation-related factors associated with P. acnes and seborrheic skin environments. Unnecessary ingredients were minimized to reduce burden on sensitive skin.

In the case of seborrheic dermatitis, medical devices used for treatment purposes following a clinical diagnosis may, depending on individual insurance policy terms, be eligible for reimbursement under personal indemnity health insurance.
